For warm-season grasses such as St. Augustine and Bermuda, it’s best to aerate your lawn in late spring or early summer. For cool-season grasses, such as Kentucky Bluegrass and Perennial Ryegrass, aeration is typically done in late summer or fall. During this treatment, your 5 Star Lawn Solution specialist uses an aerator to punch small holes into your lawn to remove plugs of turf, soil, and thatch.

For lawns with cool-season grasses, overseeding helps repair thin or bare patches, boosting the overall health, thickness, and look of your lawn. 5 Star Lawn Solution applies specially selected grass seed that offers improved resistance to diseases and drought, ensuring your lawn thrives in tough environmental conditions.

* Availability of overseeding service may vary based on grass type and local conditions.

After aeration, resume your usual watering routine. For lawns that have been over-seeded, water lightly multiple times a day to keep the soil moist, which encourages germination. Keep watering frequently, even after you notice growth to ensure the seedlings don’t dry out. Once the grass is well-established, you can revert to your regular watering schedule.

You can resume your normal mowing routine after aeration. For over-seeded lawns, avoid mowing when you notice signs of germination, and wait at least 10 days to allow the seeds to establish before mowing again. Within one to two weeks, the soil and turf plugs will break down, returning essential nutrients to your lawn.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you’re not happy, we’ll fix it or refund the service cost.
